About us

The Bii-Kunuto Scholarship Fund is an educational initiative established by His Royal Majesty Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom. The Fund aims to support students from the Savannah Region, particularly those who are financially disadvantaged, in accessing quality and equitable education.

The Yagbonwura launched the Fund on September 23, 2024, at his maiden Damba Celebration which brought sons and daughters of Gonjaland together. The Fund was inspired by the commitment of the Yagbonwura Jira Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, to respond to the deeply concerning decline in educational standards across the Savannah Region.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a Gonjalander

Applicant must hail from the Gonja Kingdom

Must be brilliant but needy.

Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and genuine financial need.

Must be at least a high school graduate

Must be a high school graduate, first degree holder or second-degree holder ready to further his/her education

Must Be a First-Year or Continuing University Student

Applicant may be a first-year or continuing student of a local or international university.

Must Demonstrate Good Conduct

Applicant should be of good conduct, hardworking, and have excellent academic results

Extra Tip

Participation in extracurricular activities will be considered an added advantage.
